FST 430  -  Digital Visual Effects

Exploration of digital image and video representation and manipulation for motion-picture visual effects. Includes image storage and compression, film and video formats, compositing, filtering, scripting for graphics and visual effects, photorealistic lighting and rendering, virtual cinematography, camera tracking, and particle effects.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisite Courses: CSC 320 , or ART 320 , or FST 320 .
Crosslisting: CSC 430 , FST 522 .
Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
