NSGL 696 - DNP Project I


Course Description: Throughout this 3-course series, students will assess, translate and synthesize current best evidence and use collaborative skills, leadership skills, and knowledge of evidence-based practice change to design, implement, and evaluate a project to improve health outcomes. This course is the first of a series of three DNP Project courses focused on providing students with experience in applying advanced nursing practice and systems-level knowledge in a healthcare setting.  This course focuses on developing the DNP Project by conducting a comprehensive and systematic assessment of the organization, population, and problem. Evaluation strategies, methods of measurement, and analysis are applied to assess proposed improvements in practice and clinical care outcomes. Formation of the DNP Project Team will provide students with the clinical and scholarly mentorship needed to assist in developing the DNP Project proposal. The expected outcome of this course is the successful development of a plan for the DNP Project.
