EGN 502 - Dredging and Beach Nourishment

Course Description: Examines dredges, their operation and beach nourishment, and design considerations for beach nourishment including cross-shore and planform, borrow areas, environmental effects and current dredging/beach nourishment costs. Numerical modeling of beach and dune erosion, shoreline change, and storm induced impacts and local examples projects are examined.
