EBD 303  -  Entrepreneurship in Under Resourced Communities


The course examines the cohesive forces underlying underserved and under resourced communities, such as culture, ethnicity, relationships, institutions, economic structure, lack of access to finances, discrimination, and social capital; how these forces evolve over time. The course also focuses on the tools, skills and strategies entrepreneurs can utilize to establish and grow successful business activities within underserved and under resourced communities. Special attention will be given as to the role of consultants and advisors, and how entrepreneurial activity can lead to economic development.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisite or Corequisite Courses: EBD 280  or EBD 282
