EBD 393  -  Corporate Entrepreneurship


All companies in all industries seek employees that have an entrepreneurial mindset because they are looking for growth and growth is difficult to generate. Emphasis is on how every job presents opportunities for entrepreneurship, and about different mechanisms that companies use to look for and implement new growth initiatives. The course content will include four parts. First, students will have the opportunity to develop a plan to find a job that will take advantage of entrepreneurial mindset. Next, students will learn how they can apply entrepreneurial mindset to any job. The third part will focus on corporate venture groups. The final part will focus on companies and how they can increase entrepreneurial orientation. Several concepts will be utilized to provide students with tools in their corporate entrepreneurial pursuits, for example: Design Thinking, Customer Relationship Management and Continuous Improvement Models.
