EVS 433  -  Tree and Forest Measurement


Study of forest mensuration including skills needed to take accurate forest measurements using essential forestry tools. Topics include foundations of forestry; forest ecology; essential tree and forest measurements such as tree age, height, and basal area; and key forestry topics such as tree regeneration, prescribed fire, and forest understory.  Additional Course Fees: Student Blanket Professional Liability Insurance.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisite Courses: EVS 195, or permission of instructor.
Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
