EGN 430 - Coastal Structures Examine the functional design of coastal structures distinguishing between groins, jetties, seawalls, breakwaters, revetments and bulkhealds. Hydraulic design and structural stability as a result of breaking and non-breaking wave loading are also covered. In addtion, students examine the materials used and cost implications of coastal structures.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite Courses: EGN 301 (C- or better) and EGN 330 (C- or better). Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
