GGY 473 - Environmental Land Use Change and Planning


Overview of the concepts and processes related to rural and urban development; growth and change, including land use issues and environmental planning strategies around land, water, and other natural resources; and critical evaluations of regional land use plans and policies. Students will conduct applied research on various regional/environmental land use issues and create outreach and communication tools in oral and written form.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisite Courses: GGY 130  or GGY 281  or  EVS 195  or OCN 150  or consent of instructor.
Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated. Maximum Repeatable Hours: 3
