HON 213 - Topical Interdisciplinary Honors Seminar: A Community Partnership

This interdisciplinary course will be taught in conjunction with or completely by a community partner. It provides a course experience based on unique partnerships between the Honors College and a community organization. This could involve credentialed/qualified partners teaching the course, providing the physical space for the course meetings (example: Cameron Museum of Art), and offering other unique learning opportunities as part of these organizations’ missions. These unique partnerships go beyond a relationship with a single faculty member for the following reasons: 1) organizational resources are being offered, 2) sustained/long-term relationship, 3) organizational expertise through employees, and 4) the organization desiring to enter this relationship as part of their larger mission.

Credit Hours: 3

Course Repeatability: Course may be repeated. Maximum Repeatable Hours: 12 Repeat Limit: 3
