COM 465 - Media and Popular Culture


   Exploration of the intersection between mass and social media and popular culture. Topics include media effects, cultural difference, fan experience and more. Students use media theories and rhetorical tools to conduct critical analysis of media artifacts. Students complete projects suitable for presentation at an undergraduate conference.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisite Courses: COM 104 COM 105 , or COM 160 .
Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Junior or senior standing. Restricted to COM majors and journalism minors.
