NSG 326 - Clinical Nursing II: Adult Health I


Introduces the core concepts of nursing essential to the role of the professional nurse when caring for individual clients with medical/surgical conditions. Course content will emphasize the relationship between the nursing process and patient centered care, clinical reasoning, and integrity of practice applied to problems of oxygenation/ventilation, problems of movement and coordination, and problems of perception and sensory input in vulnerable populations. Adopted theories from physiology, psychology, sociology and nursing will be related to patient centered care and quality improvement. Application of concepts and essential psychomotor skills are demonstrated in clinical experiences and using advanced technology working with clients in selected clinical agencies.

Credit Hours: 6 (3 Theory/3 Clinical)

Prerequisite Courses: NSG 250  and NSG 252
