CYBR 432  -  SOC Operations


Introduction to the concept of a security operations center (SOC) and the varied tasks that SOCs are called on to perform. Study of processes used for operations such as incident response, vulnerability assessment, and threat investigation. Introduction to software tools to manage SOC activities such as security information and event management (SIEM) systems, vulnerability scanners, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).

Prerequisite Courses: MIS 322  and MIS 365 .
Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
