HST 116 - Women, Gender and Sexuality in America


Survey of U.S. history from mid-nineteenth century to the present focused on women, gender, and sexuality. Covers major changes in American attitudes, ideologies, and actions regarding the status and accomplishments of women, as well as broader shifts in perceptions of sex and gender. Focuses on social movements, laws and perceptions regarding sexuality, and changes in the acceptance of birth control.
