NSG 406 - Leadership and Management in Nursing This course introduces the core concepts of leadership and management to professional registered nurses who are pursuing their baccalaureate degree in nursing. Course content includes a review, discussion, and knowledge application of leadership and management theories and frameworks, ethical components of leadership, nurse leader’s role in organizational structure and models of care, and challenges of leading in the nursing workforce. In addtion, the concepts of fiscal management and professional development for the nurse leader are introduced.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite Courses: NSG 316 Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Only open to students in the RN-BSN option. Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated
