COM 439 - Integrated Marketing Communication Practicum: Pier601


Up to 9 credits may be taken and counted toward graduation and 3 of those credits may count toward the major. This course is an applied learning experience in a student-run integrated marketing communication (IMC) firm, serving campus groups, non-profit organizations, and small businesses. Students will research, plan, create, and execute IMC and media production projects working with clients and faculty. Students will also be responsible for promoting the Pier601 Creative brand and identifying new clients. This course emphasizes collaboration, responsibility, cross-functional teams, professional and ethical standards and norms, and intention and reflection on this experience as it relates to other coursework in the major.

Credit Hours: 3

Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Consent of instructor. Restricted to COM majors.
