HST 190 - History Unlimited: A Short History of Nearly Everything Multi-disciplinary course designed to cover the history of the universe from the big bang until today. Draws on perspectives and methods of both anthropology and history. Topics include the physical structure and composition of the the earth, how it was formed, the emergence of life with particular focus on the evolution of humans, the organiztion and development of human societies, analysis of important historical periods such as agricultural, scientific and industrial revolutions. This course does not fulfill requirements towards either the history or the anthropology majors.
