SWK 311 - Child Abuse and Neglect Study of the knowledge base, laws, and professional roles associated with contemporary child welfare practice. Identification of child maltreatment, reporting procedures and community-based interdisciplinary practice issues are emphasized. Upon acceptance to the NC Child Welfare Education Collaborative, students must complete both SWK 311 and SWK 312 before admission to a DSS field placement.
Credit Hours: 3
Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Students must earn a “C” or better in each SWK course in order to progress in the program. Course Repeatability: Course may not be repeated.
