NSG 415 - Research in Nursing


This course introduces the concepts of nursing research to registered nurses who are pursuing their baccalaureate degree in nursing. The course content includes a review of how to apply basic research concepts and evidence-based practice to the field of nursing science. The student will identify a health-related problem within nursing to conduct an analysis and critique of the research literature, synthesize these critiques as it applies to practice, and foster a plan of action to make evidence-based practice a reality within nursing practice.

Credit Hours: 3

Prerequisite Courses: (STT 210  or STT 215 ) and NSG 316 .
Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Open only to students in the RNBSN program.
