GLY 545 - Sedimentary Basin Analysis Course Description: Multidisciplinary analysis of factors controlling sedimentary basin formation and evolution. Interpretation of subsidence mechanisms and sedimentary processes through basin-scale analysis of the stratigraphic record. Advanced aspects of sequence stratigraphy, sediment provenance, and the tectonics of sedimentary basins. Field trips; fees may be required. Two lecture and three laboratory hours per week.
