GLY 512 - Carbonate Petrology Course Description: An examination of sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic carbonate rocks with emphasis on observation, description and interpretation. Plus an in depth look into how carbonate petrology is applied in the exploration and exploitation of natural resources including hydrocarbons, base metals, precious metals and industrial minerals. Two lecture and three laboratory hours per week.
