GLY 511 - Clastic Petrology Course Description: Classification and description of sandstones and mudrocks and evaluation of their diagenesis. Application of principles to economic deposits. Laboratory exercises concentrate on microscopic and X–ray techniques of analysis. Two lecture and three laboratory hours per week. Field trips.
