GGY 281 - Introduction to Geographic Information Systems Introduces fundamental concepts and principles of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Tools, functions, and capabilities of GIS desktop software (e.g. ArcGIS or QGIS) are explained and used to visualize and manipulate geospatial data.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite Courses: GGY 130 or GGY 215 or GLY 101 or GLY 120 or OCN 150 or EVS 195 Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Prerequisite course or consent of instructor. Course Repeatablility: Course may not be repeated. Maximum Repeatable Hours: 3
