REC 391 - Sport, Culture and Society Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisite: REC 265 , and open only to students within the major and minor or by permission of instructor. An examination of the role of sport in contemporary American society, and how sport is linked to the structure and dynamics of social organizations. The impact of sports on culture, specifically: values, ethics, race, gender, discrimination, economics and the media will be studied.
