OCN 471 - Oceanographic Cruise Techniques

Prerequisite: OCN 350, OCN 390 or permission of instructor. Data collection and sampling techniques on a research vessel. Introduction to equipment methods and techniques used in oceanography including CTD casts, sidescan sonar operation and data analysis, and sediment coring via participation in two half-day cruises led by UNCW oceanography faculty members.
