OCN 475 - Marine Biogeochemistry Credit Hours: 3
(GLY 575) Prerequisite: CHM 101 and CHM 102 or consent of instructor. A geochemical perspective on the chemistry of the world’s oceans with an emphasis on carbon cycling through the marine geosphere and biosphere. Topics include introductions to chemical oceanography, stable isotope geochemistry, paleoceanography, and investigations into the role of the oceans in the global carbon cycle through time.
