COM 424 - Applying Coordinated Management of Meaning to the World Around Us

Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite: COM 305 . Restrictions: COMMajors and GLS students, or consent of instructor. Coordinated Management of Meaning (CMM) as a lens through which to explore a variety of communication challenges and contexts. Examples range from personal relationships, work relationships, roommates’ interactions, coaching, marketing and sales, to global issues. Emphasis on interviewing as a CMM practice. Students are encouraged to contribute situations for examination. Satisfies University Studies VI: Common Requirements/Critical Reasoning.
