GLY 460 - Advanced Stratigraphy Credit Hours: 3 (GLY 560 ) Prerequisite: GLY 331, or permission of instructor. The description, organization, classification, and interpretation of layered rock successions. Aspects of both surface and subsurface analysis of stratigraphic data. The use of stratigraphic principles in elucidating earth history. Cyclic and sequence stratigraphy. Field trips; fees may be required. Two lecture and three laboratory hours per week.
