MUS 150 - Survey of Western Art Music Credit Hours: 1
Survey of European and American art music. Listening, discussion, an in-class exercises emphasize genres, forms, and styles from the Middle Ages into the 21st century, and contextualize musical works within the social, historical, philosophical, and religious history of Western civilization. Partially satisfies University Studies II: Approaches and Perspectives/Aesthetic, Interpretive, and Literary Perspectives.
