RTH 384  -  Recreation Therapy and Child Life with Hospitalized Children

Prerequisite: RTH 368 or consent of instructor. An overview of practitioners’ roles with children and families in hospitals - includes developmental milestones/issues; healthcare experiences; therapeutic interventions; family-centered care; diagnostic and treatment interventions; pain management; death and dying; interdisciplinary communication.
