HST 497 - Topics in Asian History

Credit Hours: 3
(HST 597 ) Prerequisite: HST 103  or HST 104 , and HST 290 , or consent of instructor. Intensive study of selected themes and events in Asian history not regularly covered in other courses. Examples of topics include: The Chinese Revolution, Meiji Japan, Gandhian thought, nationalist movements. May be repeated under a different subtitle. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Writing Intensive. Satisfies University Studies VI: Common Requirements/Critical Reasoning.
