HST 444 - Seminar: U.S. Political History Credit Hours: 3 (HST 526 ) Prerequisite: HST 105 or HST 106 , and HST 290 , or consent of instructor. Intensive study of selected facets of political theory, behavior, movements, and institutions, and how political power has been used to influence the development of society. Examples of topics: New Deal politics, third-party movements, U. S. Constitution. May be repeated under a different subtitle. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Writing Intensive. Satisfies University Studies VI: Common Requirements/Critical Reasoning.
