HST 360 - History of Modern China

Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite: Any HST course or consent of instructor. Historical survey of China from 1840. Topics include China’s response to Western challenge since the Opium War, the impact of foreign imperialism and communism, China’s revolutions, China under Mao Zedong, and China’s economic and social transformation since 1970’s.
