FST 440 - Film Theory

Credit Hours: 3
(FST 540 ) Prerequisite: FST 205  or permission of instructor. A study of major schools of film theory, such as genre theory, historical criticism, reception theory, auteur theory, formalism, cognitivist film theory, and structuralist and post-structuralist film theories. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Writing Intensive.
