EDN 467 - Non-Licensure Practicum in Early Childhood Settings

Credit Hours: 6
Prerequisites: EDN 204 , admission to Watson School of Education and permission of instructor. A supervised practicum experience working with young children and their families in settings such as child care, community agencies, or early intervention programs. Designed for students who are completing a degree in education of young children without earning birth-kindergarten licensure, this practicum promotes integration of the knowledge, skills, and dispositions required to be an effective early childhood educator. The practicum placement is selected to be consistent with the student’s career goals and must be approved by the instructor. Satisfies University Studies V: Explorations Beyond the Classroom. Satisfies University Studies VI: Common Requirements/Critical Reasoning.
