GGY 281 - Introduction to Geographic Information Systems

Credits: 3
Prerequisite: GGY 130  or GGY 140  or EVS 195  or consent of instructor. Introduces fundamental concepts and principles of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Tools, functions, and capabilities of GIS desktop software (e.g. ArcGIS or QGIS) are explained and used to visualize and manipulate geospatial data. Two lecture and two lab hours each week.
