GGY 432 - Biogeography Credits: 3 (GLY 532 ) Prerequisite: GGY 130 or GLY 101 or consent of instructor. Study of the changing distribution patterns of plants and animals on a variety of spatial and temporal scales. Topics include abiotic and biotic controls on the distribution of life, disturbance, ecological communities, dispersal, invasion, speciation, extinctions, biogeographic realms, human impacts on biodiversity, and conservation. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Information Literacy.
