NSG 404 - Health Policy

Prerequisite/Corequisite: NSG 316 . Open only for students enrolled in the RN BS option of the B.S. Nursing. A debate-seminar course focusing on social, psychological, cultural, economic, political, legal, and ethical environments which shape health care delivery systems. Advanced nursing practice in primary care is studied relative to inter professional relationships and leadership in health policy, health care reform, successful models of health delivery, poverty, research, and interdisciplinary health management. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Building Competencies/Writing Intensive/Information Literacy.
