GGY 424 - Advanced Geographic Information Systems Credits: 3 (GGY 524 ) Prerequisite: GGY 328 . Advanced theory and application of the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial data collection, data structures, data management, and relational databases, spatial analysis, and display of geographic information in a computer-based environment. Lectures, demonstrations, and lab exercises. Students work individually or in small groups. Two lecture and three laboratory hours each week. Satisfies University Studies V: Explorations Beyond the Classroom.
