EVS 474 - Wildland Fire Management

Prerequisite: Junior or senior standing, or consent of instructor. Basic training in wildland fire management. Focuses on both the suppression of wild fires and the use of controlled burning as a natural resource management too. Instruction is through both in-class lectures and practical field training. Students will participate in actual controlled burn experiences. Participants in the course must meet established physical fitness guidelines.
