FST 380 - Introduction to Bollywood Cinema

Prerequisite or corequisite: FST 205  or permission of instructor. Survey of India’s Bollywood cinema from the silent period to the present. Emphasizes historical and critical approaches to Bollywood cinema, as well as studies of censorship, cinephilia, and popular visual culture.
