CRM 499 - Honors Work in Criminal Justice Credits: 2 - 3 Prerequisite: Eligibility for honors program, CRM 255 (SOC 255 ) or CRM 256 (SOC 256 ), CRM 300 (SOC 300 ), CRM 301 (SOC 301 ) and junior or senior status. Independent work for honors students in which students apply criminological theory and methods to a major research project and paper that is then presented orally before an examining committee. Honors work is typically completed in two 3 credit hour semesters. This course serves as an alternative to the CRM 495 capstone requirement for criminology majors. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Writing Intensive. Partially satisfies University Studies IV: Information Literacy. Satisfies University Studies V: Explorations Beyond the Classroom. Satisfies University Studies VI: Capstone Courses and College of Arts and Sciences oral communication requirement.
