EDN 200 - Teacher, School and Society

Credits: 3
Corequisite: EDNL 200 . Introductory course in the Watson School of Education (WSE) teacher education program that examines historical, sociological and philosophical foundations of education. The course addresses knowledge and analytical skills in relation to the goals and purposes of education. The course further provides an introduction to diversity issues in education. In addition, students are challenged to critically reflect on their personal and educational experiences as preservice professionals. The course introduces the WSE’s conceptual framework. The lab for this course is EDNL 200 .
