PAR 221 - Mindfulness and Racial Justice


Introduction to mindfulness and its application to racial justice issues and efforts. Explores mindfulness as a contemplative practice and discusses its similarities and differences with religious contemplative practices of meditation, prayer, silence, and stillness. Adopts an intersectional approach that considers interlocking systems of oppression in the United States.
