Off-Campus Courses

Students may be permitted to earn credits toward degree requirements at UNCW through course work at other regionally-accredited two- and four-year colleges and universities in the United States and abroad, as well as through distance education. To receive permission, a student must submit an online “Permission for Transient Study” request and obtain the approval of his/her department chairperson (or the dean of University College) prior to registering for the course(s). The online transient study request link and instructions are available at http://www.uncw.edu/reg/transfercredit-transStudy.htm. The permission form must be on file in the Office of the Registrar prior to the student’s leaving campus.
