The auditing of courses without credit is approved by special permission of the Office of the Registrar and of the instructor involved. Students who are approved as auditors may enroll in the course if space is available on the first day of classes. Individuals not regularly enrolled as students in the university who wish to audit courses will be classified as special students and will be required to pay regular tuition and fees, unless otherwise exempted. Enrolled students are permitted to audit courses and must pay the same tuition and fees as required in courses where credit is earned. Courses taken as an Audit will not count towards the calculation of a student’s full-time academic status. See also Repeating of Courses . Students are encouraged to consult the Office of Financial Aid because auditing courses may influence Federal Financial Aid.
