CLR 394 - Undergraduate Clinical Research Study Abroad


This course will provide students with an exposure to healthcare, cultural differences and clinical research in communities outside the US. Focused study will include ethical considerations for clinical research and healthcare norms specific to the host country on local, regional and global scales. The course integrates multiple forms of instruction.

Course Goal: The overall purpose of this course is to increase student awareness of clinical research in international settings and enhance the students’ understanding of regulatory and cultural differences and similarities between US based clinical research studies as compared to global clinical trials.

Credit Hours: 0 To 6

Corequisite Courses: CLR 301 .
Prerequisite Courses: CLR 301 .
Additional Restrictions/Requirements: Instructor approval.
Course Repeatability: Course may be repeated. Maximum Repeatable Hours: 6
