THR 334 - Audition Techniques for Stage and Film Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite: THR 332 or consent of instructor. Junior or senior theatre majors only. Designed to apply the skill set acquired during acting study to typical industry casting opportunities. Four auditioning contexts: theatrical, commercial, film, and television. Students are presented with actual scripts and scenes used in entertainment industry situations. Auditions are taped for instructor, student, and peer critique. Upon successful completion, students gain understanding of the audition process, including presentation of self in an appropriate, professional manner.
