FST 200 - Introduction to Film Study

Credit Hours: 3
Intended for prospective majors in film studies. Introduction to film study, including analysis of cinematography, editing, Mise-en-scene, sound, and narrative. Films drawn from various national cinemas, representing diverse styles, periods, and genres. Three lecture hours and two screening hours each week. Partially satisfies University Studies II: Approaches and Perspectives/Aesthetic, Interpretive, and Literary Perspectives.
