Introduction to business aspects of the motion picture industry. The course examines the life cycle of a film product, from the development stages through distribution and marketing stages. Emphasis is on business strategies and decisions regarding creative development, financing, legal issues, budgeting, scheduling, marketing, exhibition, and other business elements of filmmaking.
