LIC 562 - Graduate Colloquium in Elementary Education

Course Description: The Graduate Colloquium in Elementary Education integrates M.A.T. candidates’ experiences throughout their program, including the full-time internship. On-site seminars afford opportunity for reflection and application of research and evidence-based practices. Linking theory and practice is the ultimate goal of this graduate colloquium. This course also incorporates the culminating graduate exit project for students completing the K-6 internship. Students will develop skills in research design to include data collection, analysis, interpretation, reporting, and evaluation. Ultimately, the course evaluates M.A.T. students’ growth throughout the program and internship period. The student will apply research and evidence-based practices to an issue identified during the internship. The culminating project will result in a product (culminating project and defense) that addresses the issue and identifies possible solutions.
